The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
