Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid year, managing just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in specific - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first trophy since the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
Success also indicates the Russian has won 21 championships at 21 distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in that event in the past months.
His defensive approach and frequent outbursts on court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the elite level was finished.
But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the final five points to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour victory, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
The opponent saved 4 initial chances in a close final set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he secured the title with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
